What should I learn before starting a corporate strategy role?
I'm moving into corporate strategy after an MBA and career switch and have about six weeks before I start. Should I use that time to learn financial modeling, Excel, PowerPoint and industry knowledge, or is it better to rest and learn most of it on the job?

Honestly? I think you should kick back, relax, and get bored before you join. Get everything out of your system.Once you join, you are not going to have nearly as much free time - take advantage of it while you can (whether that's traveling the world of binge-watching Netflix).There will be plenty of time to learn while on the job.Now, if you don't want to do that, then I would study/learn Excel, PowerPoint, the major industries, and anything business, communication, and presentation related.
