MBB

Is a Master's in Business Analytics a good route into MBB generalist consulting?

I'm considering graduate school before consulting and can choose between a Business Analytics master's and a more general MiM-type program. My goal is MBB generalist consulting rather than a specialist analytics role. Which degree is the more direct route?

If you are looking to optimize for generalist consulting at MBB, a Masters in Data Analytics is not a great route. You are indeed right in thinking that you would end up at BCG GAMMA or McKinsey Black (both are great, but not generalist).

A MiM at LBS would be a more direct path.
