How do I negotiate an MBB offer without sounding ungrateful?

I have an MBB offer as an experienced hire and I'm excited to join. The base seems reasonable, but I think there may be room on the signing bonus or other terms. How do I ask for more while making it clear I'm still genuinely interested in the firm?

The key principles are to re-iterate your interest in the firm, come off as polite, but also say you need x.For MBB, your best bet it to negotiate on signing bonus, and defend it with something (market rates, upcoming promotion/bonus, relocation, etc.).I personally doubled my signing bonus when joining BCG.
