8. Fit Interview

Fit Interview Course

The Part Most Candidates Under-Prepare

Fit interviews are frequently treated as an afterthought. Candidates spend weeks on cases and then walk into a behavioral interview hoping instinct carries them through. At MBB, that approach consistently underperforms. Firms are assessing whether you can articulate your experiences clearly, whether your motivation is credible, and whether you'll represent the firm well in front of clients. That requires preparation, not improvisation.

The Three Whys and Your Story Bank

The course is built around two core components. The first is the "Three Whys" — why you (resume walkthrough), why consulting, and why this specific firm — the questions that anchor almost every fit interview and that most candidates answer too generically. The second is your personal story bank: a structured set of stories covering leadership, failure, persuasion, conflict, and achievement, built so you can adapt them to any question rather than memorising fixed answers.

A System for Any Question

The goal isn't to prepare you for specific questions — it's to build a framework flexible enough to handle anything you encounter. By the time you finish, you'll have a complete story matrix, a clear and authentic narrative for each of the Three Whys, and the confidence to handle questions you've never seen before without reverting to vague or unconvincing answers.
